If you wish to choose the most suitable size of the funnel for your nipple, take the diameter in millimeters (mm) of your nipple at its base. Do not include the areola.

2. How to choose the size of the funnel for a nipple?

The SHELLY electric breast pump offers 3 sizes of the funnel – basic 28mm (built-in) and 2 replaceable items – 21- and 24-mm funnels. If the diameter of your nipple is 17/18mm, choose the smallest funnel – 21mm. As for nipples that are 19-21mm, a 24-mm funnel will be the best choice. For large nipples, a 23/25-mm built-in funnel will be the most suitable. Remember to choose the suitable size of the funnel!

3. Is the SHELLY breast pump intended for large breasts?

It is the size of the funnel that plays a key role in proper milk expressing. If your nipple is 25mm at the most, the SHELLY breast pump will be a good solution. 4. I start the breast pump and the milk expressing icon is on. Unfortunately the product does not suck the breast. Does something wrong happen to the breast pump?

All Babyono breast pumps are supplied with a built-in battery saving function. Press M key at the top of the breast pump to supply power. The display gets illuminated and a timer activates. If the main pump is not activated and you leave the breast pump without any action, the product will shut down automatically after 1 minute. To resume its operation, press M key again and select the mode you desire. The breast pump will go back to work instantly.

5. Can I express milk in any position?

To make sure the breast pump works properly, the control panel must be facing upwards. Its special structure allows taking other activities while you are drawing milk, when being in motion. Yet you should not express milk in a lying position.

6. How noisy is the breast pump?

The top volume of the breast pump is only 45 dB. This is comparable to a natural noise of the flat.

7. While expressing milk, I’d like to increase the power, but +/- keys do not work.

The breast pump has a very sensitive touch panel. To make sure modes do not switch while the product is working, the screen lock activates after 1 minute. To increase the suction power, activate the touch screen again. To do so, press M key and use +/- keys to select the suitable suction power.

8. How long can the breast pump work?

The breast pump works for 30 minutes. When this period expires, the pump will deactivate automatically. The working time on a full battery is 2 hours.

9. How long does it take to charge the breast pump?

To charge the breast pump, a USB-C connector must be used. The charging cable is attached to the set. Full charging with an ordinary charger (1A current) takes 3 hours. Full charging with a quick charger (2,4A current) takes 2 hours and 20 minutes.

10. Can I wash the breast pump in the dishwasher?

Aside from the main pump, all parts of the breast pump can be washed in a dishwasher. If you choose to wash it in the dishwasher, take parts out shortly after the cycle is over and dry them off. Leaving products in a dishwasher for a long time may lead to their deformations.

11. What is the capacity of the bowl?

The breast pump allows collecting 150 ml of milk.

12. How to pour milk into a container?

To pour milk into a container, take the pump out and slowly turn the collecting bowl above the bottle, container or storage bag. Milk will flow through the hole.
